South Korean tech giant Samsung has already started taking pre-orders for its upcoming handsets Galaxy A9 Star and A9 Star Lite in China. Its official launch is today– 7th June 2018. Just before the launch, a Samsung Galaxy A9 Star leak has surfaced online again. The handset has been seen on Geekbench, with its performance score. Earlier, a brief-hands-on video had appeared on the phone.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Leak
Geekbench states that the phone will have 4GB RAM. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor. The handset will run on Android 8.0 Oreo.
Its single-core is at 1625. The multi-score is 5776.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Video Leak
The handset had appeared on China’s 3C certification portal on May 2018 with another Samsung handset.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Star leak hands-on video has been posted by SlashLeaks on YouTube. The smartphone seems to have a glass back panel with Samsung branding and a fingerprint reader. The smartphone also has a dual-rear camera setup with LED flash.
The handset’s front panel has a thin-bezel display with a secondary camera and an earpiece.
The appearance of the handset matches the images on the certifications portal.
A Samsung Galaxy A9 Star leak in the form of live images has also appeared in Weibo.
The Galaxy A9 Star and A9 Star Lite are seen with glass back panels. It is expected to come in Black and White color variants. The Lite model will come in Black, Grey and Blue variants. It also seems to have a metal frame similar to the C pro series.
Other Developments
According to a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 leak reported by Bloomberg, the tech giant will launch the handset on 9th August 2018. It is also being alleged that the smartphone will sport an upgraded camera.
The Bloomberg report hints certain design features of the handset. It will be powered by an “upgraded” Qualcomm processor. The company will hold an “Unpacked” event in New York. The speculated date is 9th August.
