Until now, the Instagram Reels allows users to upload short videos (similar to TikTok. However, the duration was limited up to 15 seconds.

Now, a new update to the popular social media platform will allow users to create a reel of up to 30 seconds.

Additionally, the users will also get a timer up to 10 seconds (up from up to three seconds) while recording a reel. You can also trim and delete any clip.

The new update is expected to roll out to all users soon. Instagram claims that it will make the process of recording and uploading a reel smoother.

The company also hopes the new updates and features will widen the range of videos that can be uploaded.
