The new smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor and up to 6GB RAM. It is backed by a 5,020mAh battery that supports up to 18W fast charging.
The 64GB/ 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot (up to 128GB).
Cameras
On the back, the Redmi Note 9 sports a square-shaped quad-camera setup. It comes with 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor (f/1.79 aperture), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2), a 2MP macro lens (f/2.4), and a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4).
For selfies and video calling, the handset comes equipped with a 13MP front camera. It is housed inside the display hole.

The Redmi Note 9 runs the Android 10 operating system with MIUI 11 on top. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back.
Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, infrared (IR) blaster, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.53-inch IPS display with Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The Redmi Note 9 comes in three color options – qua Green, Arctic White, and Pebble Grey.

Price and Availability

The Redmi Note 9 is priced in India at Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. Sales will start on July 245 via Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
While the 4GB RAM/ 128GB storage model costs Rs 13,499, the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant comes with a price tag of Rs 14,999.
Originally, the Redmi Note 9 was launhed at $199 (approx Rs 15,100) for the 3GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM/ 128GB storage model costs $249 (approx Rs 18,900).
