The Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro will be launched in China on August 29. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.

According to recent reports and listings, the Redmi Note 8 will be powered by a Snapdragon 665 processor along with Adreno 610 GPU and 2GB/ 3GB/ 4GB RAM. It will also come with a third-generation AIE artificial intelligence engine with Hexagon 686 DSP, and the Hexagon Vector Extension (HVX).
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is expected to sport an Helio G90T processor. The 16GB/ 32GB/ 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 512GB). The 5,000mAh battery is said to come with fast charging support.
In terms of optics, the upcoming handset will sport a quad-camera setup on the back. It will be equipped with a 48-megapixel primary sensor. For selfies and video calling, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is tipped to come with an 8-megapixel front camera.
The Pro model is expected to feature a 64-megapixel primary sensor with 25x zoom. The camera will be able to take images with a resolution of 9248 x 6936 pixels (25 times full-HD and 2x times the 8K).

The Redmi Note 8 series is tipped to come with a gradient black finish and a high screen-to-body ratio. In terms of dimensions, the new model measures 156.3 x 75.4 x 9.4mm and weighs 190 grams.
The dual-SIM smartphone is likely to run Android 9 Pie operating system. It features a 6.2-inch TFT display with HD+ (720 x 1520 pixels) resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The rear panel will include a ‘Design by Xiaomi’ branding along with a Redmi logo.
For gaming, the Redmi Note 8 Pro will come with support for gaming accessories. It will also come with high frame rates, liquid cooling (reduces the temperature by 4 to 6 degrees ), network optimization, smooth touchscreen experience, and long battery life.
Additional features will include a circular fingerprint sensor (rear-mounted), teardrop-shaped display notch, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
