The Redmi Note 8 is priced in China at CNY 999 (approx Rs 10,000) for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 6G/ 128GB storage variants cost CNY 1,199 (approx Rs 12,000) and CNY 1,399 (approx Rs 14,000), respectively.
On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a price tag of CNY 1,399 (approx Rs 14,000) for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage and 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variants are priced at CNY 1,599 (approx Rs 16,000) and CNY 1,799 (approx Rs 18,000), respectively.
Xiaomi is also offering a special World of Warcraft limited edition of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. It comes with exclusive goodies, custom themes, etc.
As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date.

The new smartphones come with a quad-camera set up on the back. The Pro model comes with a 64-megapixel primary sensor (compared to 48-megapixel primary sensor on standard edition).
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 comes in Dream Blue, Meteorite Black, and White color options. The Black variant is the only one without the gradient finish. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro also comes in three color options (Pearl White, Ice Emerald, and Electric Light Grey).
The dual-SIM (Nano) smartphones run Android 9 Pie operating system with MIUI 10 on top. Other features include a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and an IR blaster.
