The Redmi Note 12R comes with a starting price of CNY 999 (approx Rs 11,300) for the 4GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. The top-end variant (8GB RAM/ 256GB storage) is priced at CNY 1,699 (approx Rs 19,200).
While the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model costs CNY 1,099 (approx Rs 12,400), the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant comes at CNY 1,499 (approx Rs 17,000).
The new handset will be available in China from June 30. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price tag and launch date.

The Redmi Note 12R is powered by a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor along with an Adreno GPU and up to 8GB RAM. The 128GB/ 256GB storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card.
In terms of optics, the new handset sports a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a 2-megapixel macro lens (f/2.4 aperture).
For selfies and video calling, the Redmi Note 12R features an 8-megapixel front camera. It is housed in a centre-aligned punch-hole. The 5,000mAh battery comes with 18W wired fast charging support.

The Redmi Note 12R runs the Android 13 operating system with MIUI 14 on the top. For security, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a face unlock feature.
In terms of dimensions, the new smartphone measures 168.6 x 76.28 x 8.17mm and weighs 199 grams. It comes in three colour options – Midnight Black, Sky Fantasy, and Time Blue.
The 6.79-inch IPS LCD display comes with full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of 550 nits. The dual-SIM (nano) comes with an IP53 rating (dust and water resistance) and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
