The Redmi 9 Prime will be launched in India on August 4. However, there is no information about its price tag as yet.

As per recent teasers and reports, the upcoming smartphone is tipped to come with a waterdrop-shaped display notch and a splash-proof build with a P2i nano-coating.
The Redmi 9 Prime is also expected to feature a large battery. Additionally, it is said to come with similar features as the Redmi 9 (launched in China last month).

Conclusion
The Redmi 9 is priced at EUR 149 (approx Rs 12,800) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model costs EUR 179 (approx Rs 15,300).
The new smartphone is powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor along with Mali-G52 GPU, and up to 4GB RAM. The internal storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot.
In terms of optics, the handset sports a quad-camera setup at the back. It combines a 13MP primary sensor (f/2.2 aperture), an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.2), 118-degree field of view), a 5MP macro camera (f/2.4), and a 2MP depth sensor.

Camera features include Kaleidoscope, ultra-wide-angle mode, macro mode, portrait mode, and Full-HD (1080p) recording at 30fps.
For selfies and video calling, the Redmi 9 sports an 8MP front camera (f/2.0, 77.8-degree FoV). Camera features include palm shutter, portrait mode, HDR, screen flash, and self-timer.
The 6.53-inch display comes with Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 400nits brightness, 394ppi pixel density, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and a waterdrop-shaped notch.
Additionally, the Redmi 9 is backed by a large 5,020mAh battery with 18W Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. A 10W charger is included in the box.
