The Redmi 9 is priced at EUR 149 (approx Rs 12,800) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model costs EUR 179 (approx Rs 15,300).
Sales will start in Spain on June 18 via online and offline retailers. Whereas the pre-orders will begin on June 15.
During the pre-order phase, the new handset will be available at an introductory price of EUR 139 (approx Rs 11,900) and EUR 169 (approx Rs 14,500) for 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants, respectively.
The Redmi 9 comes in Carbon Gray, Sunset Purple, and Ocean Green color options. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.

The new smartphone is powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor along with Mali-G52 GPU, and up to 4GB RAM. The internal storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Additionally, the Redmi 9 is backed by a large 5,020mAh battery with 18W Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. A 10W charger is included in the box.
Cameras
In terms of optics, the handset sports a quad-camera setup at the back. It combines a 13MP primary sensor (f/2.2 aperture), an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.2), 118-degree field of view), a 5MP macro camera (f/2.4), and a 2MP depth sensor.
Camera features include Kaleidoscope, ultra-wide-angle mode, macro mode, portrait mode, and Full-HD (1080p) recording at 30fps.
For selfies and video calling, the Redmi 9 sports an 8MP front camera (f/2.0, 77.8-degree FoV). Camera features include palm shutter, portrait mode, HDR, screen flash, and self-timer.

The 6.53-inch display comes with Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 400nits brightness, 394ppi pixel density, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and a waterdrop-shaped notch.

Other sensors on the device include a vibration motor, distance sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and electronic compass.
