The Redmi 8A Dual is priced in India at Rs 6,499 for the 2GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage model costs Rs 6,999.
The new handset will be available from February 18 via Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores. Previously, the company was expected to launch Redmi 9A.

The Redmi 8A Dual is powered by a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor and 2GB/ 3GB RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot.
In terms of optics, the new smartphone sports a dual-camera setup on the back. It combines a 13MP primary sensor with a 2MP depth sensor.
For selfies and video calling, the Redmi 8A Dual features an 8MP front camera with AI Scene Detection and AI Portrait Mode features.
The budget handset is backed by a 5,000mAh battery. It comes 18W fast charging and reverse charging support.

The Redmi 8A Dual runs the Android 9.0 operating system. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.20, Wi-Fi Direct, and a USB Type-C port.

The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.22-inch display with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution and a waterdrop-style notch.
The Redmi 8A Dual comes with the company’s new Aura XGrip design. It also comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and splash-resistant coating.
The new smartphone will be available in Sea Blue, Sky White, and Midnight Gray color options.

Redmi Powerbank
Additionally, Xiaomi has also launched two new Redmi-branded power banks. Users can choose from 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh capacities.
While the 10,000mAh Redmi Powerbank supports 10W fast charging, the 20,000mAh Powerbank supports 18W fast charging.
The new power banks support for dual input and dual output. Users can use either MicroUSB or USB Type-C port to charge the power bank or vice-versa.
