Realme C2 Launched With 5-Megapixel AI Selfie Camera, Diamond-Cut Design

Price (base model) Rs 5,999

The Realme C2 is priced in India at Rs 5,999 for the 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant. The 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage model comes with a price tag of Rs 7,999. Sales start on May 15 via Flipkart and the official Realme website.

The Realme C1 was launched last year at an introductory price tag (for the Diwali festive season) of Rs 6,999. The new 2GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 7,499. Whereas the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage model will cost Rs 8,499.

The Realme C2 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor along with 2GB/ 3GB RAM. The 16GB/ 32GB internal storage can be further expandable via a microSD card (up to 256GB). It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

In terms of optics, the new handset features a dual camera set up on the back. It combines a 13-megapixel primary sensor (1.12 microns pixel size, f/2.2 aperture) and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor (1.75 microns pixel size, f/2.4 aperture). 

For selfies and video calling, the handset sports a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. Additionally, it comes with (AI) powered features (including Face Unlock).

The Realme C2 runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system with ColorOS 6.0 on top. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.1-inch display with HD+ (720 x 1560 pixels) resolution, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. A fingerprint sensor is placed at the back.

The new handset comes in Diamond Blue and Diamond Black color options. It measures 154.3 x 73.7 x 8.5mm. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer sensor, and a proximity sensor.

The Realme C1 is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor along with an Adreno 506 GPU and 2GB/ 3GB RAM. The 16GB/ 32GB internal storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot (up to 256GB). It is backed by a large 4,230mAh battery.

In terms of optics, the budget smartphone sports a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 13-megapixel primary sensor (with f/2.2 aperture) and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor (with f/2.4 aperture). Camera features include AI Beautification 2.0, Bokeh Mode, and a LED flash.

The 5-megapixel front camera comes with f/2.2 aperture and AI Face Unlock support. Additional features include HDR, Bokeh Mode, AF Focusing Method, and a Consecutive Capture Mode (can take up to 20 pictures in a row).

The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.2-inch display with HD+ (1520 x 720pixels) resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with ColorOS 5.1 custom skin on top.
