Panasonic has announced the launch of Toughpad rugged handheld tablets- FZ-E1 and FZ-X1 alongside semi-rugged Toughbook CF-54 in the Indian market. Both Toughpads are targeted towards enterprises. The Toughpad FZ-E1 is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs Windows Embedded 8.1 OS while the Toughpad FZ-X1 packs a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm S4 Pro processor and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Other specifications include 8 mega pixel rear camera, 1.3 mega pixel front shooter and 3G connectivity.
Furthermore, these Toughpads can survive drops up to 10-feet and boast of dust and water resistance resistance with IP65/ IP68 ratings. Backed up by a 6200mAh battery, these Toughpads can offer up to 14 hours of battery life.

The semi-rugged Toughbook CF-54 is powered by a 5th generation Intel Core i5-5300U processor and offers battery life of up to 11 hours.

The Panasonic Toughpad rugged handheld tablets are priced at Rs. 1,19,000 (FZ-E1) and Rs. 1,09,000 (FZ-X1). The semi-rugged Toughbook CF-54 will be available for Rs. 139,000.
