Google Chromecast Competitor Lenovo Cast Launched: Price & Specs

Lenovo has launched its video streaming device dubbed the Lenovo Cast at Lenovo Tech World event in Beijing. This device will compete against the Google Chromecast which is priced at $35. The Lenovo Cast enables users to stream media content on smartphone or tablet as well as mirrors the content from mobile devices on tbigger HDMI-enabled TV screens. It is capable of transmitting content from smartphones or tablets to bigger screens from a distant of about 20 meters with 1080p resolution.

It comes with Micro-USB port, a Micro-HDMI port, HDCP 2.0 and HDMI 1.3 support. As for dimensions, it has 70mm diameter, 15mm height and weighs 50 grams.

Huawei P8, P8Max and P8Lite Announced For India: Specifications, Features

Huawei unveiled its flagship smartphone Huawei P8 alongside P8Max phone last month. Now the company has taken the wraps off Huawei P8Lite smartphone at an event in Bangkok.

As for specifications, the Huawei P8Lite is powered by 64-bit HiSilicon Kirin 620 processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with Mali 450 MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It features a 5-inch display with 1280×720 pixels resolution and runs Android 5.0.2 OS wrapped under Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.1. There is 16GB of inbuilt storage onboard which is expandable via microSD card. It comes with a 13 mega pixel rear camera and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. It measures 7.7mm in thickness and weighs 131 grams.

Xolo To Launch Online-Only Brand Black In June

Following the footprints of OnePlus, Xiaomi and Huawei’s Honor brand, now domestic handset maker Xolo is all set to launch its online-only brand Black in India. Xolo itself is a sub-brand under Lava International. Xolo Black will not follow flash sale model unlike Yu and Xiaomi, however the devices will be sold exclusively by an e-commerce portal. The company has also tied up with a telecom operator and e-commerce retailer for its online-only brand Black.

While the focus will be on camera, design, battery life and audio quality of the smartphones, Xolo Black will launch five to six smartphone in a year. The company says that it will launch one phone every quarter which will be made available for next nine months.

HP Omen Gaming Laptop & Pavilion 15 Notebooks With B&O Play Launched in India

HP India in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen, has announced the launch of HP Omen gaming laptop with Bang & Olufsen and series of HP Pavilion 15 Notebooks (three variants) with B&O Play in India.

As for specifications, the HP Omen gaming laptop packs an Intel Core i7 quad-core processor with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4 GB gaming graphics. It sports a 15.6-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The HP Omen measures 19.9mm in thickness and weighs 2.12kgs. It also comes with a customizable back-lit keyboard along with six programmable function keys.

Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad has entered Indian market with the launch of Coolpad Dazen X7 smartphone alongside Dazen 1 phone under its Dazen brand today, at an event in New Delhi.

Under the hood, the Dazen X7 is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MT6595 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Running Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, it features a 5.2-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It sports a 13 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with Sony IMX 214, 6P lens, OIS, f/1.8, dual color flash light and an 8 mega pixel front facing camera.
