Microsoft Notifies About Free Upgrade To Windows 10, Release Date & Pricing Tipped

While Microsoft announced its plans to launch Windows 10 this summer, AMD’s President and CEO Lisa Su revealed that Windows 10 will debut at the end of July 2015. In line with the previous news, Microsoft has started notifying new or existing Windows 7, Windows 8.1 users about free upgrade to Windows 10 which the users will be able to download when available.

Furthermore, an online retailer Newegg.com has revealed the release date of Windows 10 as 31st August 2015. The computer hardware and software is also taking pre-orders for Microsoft Windows 10 Professional and Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM packages for $149.99 (roughly Rs. 9,500) and $109.99 (roughly Rs. 7,000) respectively.

Lava has introduced its Flair series with the launch of Lava Flair P1 smartphone in India. The Flair series is targeted towards the first time smartphone buyers who look for entry level phones with basic features.

As for specifications, the Flair P1 is powered by a 1GHz processor (unknown chipset) paired with 256MB of RAM and Mali 400 GPU. Running Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, it features a 4-inch WVGA TFT display with 800×480 pixels resolution. The handset sports a 2 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and VGA front facing camera. It comes with 2GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Intex Cloud Power+ Launched At Rs. 8,599: Specs & Features

Intex has launched a new smartphone, Intex Cloud Power+ in India. The handset packs the same specifications as the Aqua Power+ which was launched in April for Rs. 8,999.

Under the hood, the Cloud Power+ is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor paired with 2GB of RAM and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. It features a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and houses 16GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. On imaging front, the Cloud Power+ sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 4000mAh battery, it is claimed to deliver 8 hours of talk time on 3G networks and 17 hours of talk time on 2G networks.

Gionee M5 Dual-Battery Phone Specifications Leaked

Gionee is reportedly gearing up for the launch of its Gionee M5 smartphone. The handset was teased by the company on its Weibo account and the striking feature of Gionee’s upcoming M5 phone is said to be a dual battery set up.

Now the device has been spotted on Chinese certification website TENAA. As per the certification website’s listing, the M5 will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unknown chipset) paired with 2GB of RAM and run Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. It will feature a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display with 1280×720 pixels resolution.

Asus ZenPad Renders Leaked, Launch Expected At Computex 2015

Asus is reportedly working on its ZenPad series of tablets which is likely to be unveiled at Computex in Taiwan between June 2nd to June 5th. The company is expected to launch two variants of the ZenPad. One with 8-inch display and 2048×1536 pixel resolution and other with 7-inch display and 1024×640 pixels resolution. Ausdroid has posted render images of ZenPad with 4:3 screen aspect ratio. Though both variants are likely to come with 4:3 aspect ratio, the image looks more like the 8-inch model. The tablets are also rumored to feature dual frontal stereo speakers.

Render images confirm that the tablet will sport a microSD card slot, power button, camera on both front and rear ends, volume rocker alongside Intel logo on the rear.

Micromax has launched the successor of Canvas Doodle 3, the Canvas Doodle 4 smartphone in India. The device does not feature a stylus like its predecessors. Priced at Rs. 9,499, the smartphone is available to buy in the country from major retail stores.

As for specifications, the phone comes with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, 6-inch qHD (960×540 resolution) display, 8GB inbuilt storage (expandable via microSD card), 8 mega pixel rear camera, 2 mega pixel front camera and a 3000mAh battery.
