Micromax Canvas HD A116 had the first mover advantage in the Indian market when it was the first quad core smartphone on a budget in the country but it went out of stock as soon as it went on sale. Amidst all this, companies have started to launch their quad core devices and Micromax’s arch rival, Karbonn has launched their 5 inch quad core smartphone, the Karbonn Titanium S5 at a price of Rs.11,990 exclusively through snapdeal.com for the time being and yes, it is in stock.

The S5 will flaunt a 5 inch screen which will have display resolution of 960×540 pixels. And this is the only difference between it and the Micromax flagship. The A116 has a screen of 720p resolution but if you consider the price difference, the Karbonn smartphone makes for a better buy. Its heart will be a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm which is expected to perform better than the Mediatek processor found in other budget quad core smartphones.

According to this when you buy a new Nokia handset from Nokia store in selected cities( Delhi and the National Capital Region, Jaipur, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Cochin.) you get an insurance scheme with handset that allow you to safeguard your device against risks of the mobile handset loss and damage.This insurance plan was announced by Nokia India on Tuesday. This insurance plan will be active on March 14, 2013 through Nokia branded retail stores across country.

This insurance facility is unique in India. No other company like Apple, Samsung, LG, BlackBerry provides this type of service to their customers. The only thing with this service that I don’t like is that it is only available through their Branded stores. You will not able to get insurance of Nokia devices if you buy them online or from other stores.

Earlier Micromax also said that it also wants to introduce insurance plans for their handset. As company is getting more popularity by its big screen and cheap devices.And company wants to establish as a trusted brand, Micromax also said that it will also introduces expandable warranty plans for its devices. But still there is not any kind of official news from Micromax.

Samsung Galaxy S4 has been the smartphone that everybody has been looking forward to for a while and Samsung has finally announced it. The Galaxy S4 was launched at an event in New York amidst a lot of fanfare and we tell you what the whole deal is about.

The S4 will have a 5 inch screen of full HD display resolution like the competitors Xperia Z and HTC one. iBall has launched the iBall Edu-Slide i-1017 a new budget tablet for the Indian market especially for students. iBall Edu-Slide i-1017 features a 10.1-inch screen with a 1280X800 pixels resolution. The tablet packs a dual-core Cortex A9 processor which clocks up to 1.5GHz along with G400 mali GPU. It comes with 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system with 8GB of internal storage available on the device, which can be expanded via additional microSD card. It also features a 2-megapixel rear shooter and a VGA front camera.
