Oppo has launched a new selfie-focussed smartphone in India. The new Oppo F7 is priced in India at Rs 21,990 (with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage). It will be available to buy via online and offline channels from April 9. The new handset comes in Solar Red and Moonlight Silver color options.
Additionally, the company has launched special edition variants with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Both the Oppo F7 Diamond Black and Oppo F7 Sunrise Red special edition models come with a price tag of Rs 26,990. These will only be available via select Oppo stores.
A special 24-hour flash sale is being held on April 2. During this sale, the company will offer 10,000 units of Oppo F7 on Flipkart and 777 Oppo stores across the country. Customers will get 5 percent cash back (on purchases through ICICI credit cards), additional 120GB 4G data (from Jio) and a one-time free screen replacement.

The Oppo F7 sports a 6.23-inch Full Screen 2.0 display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor. The internal storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot (up to 256GB). The 3400mAh battery claims to offer up to 33.5 hours of music playback.
In terms of optics, the new smartphone sports 16-megapixel rear camera with a f/1.8 aperture and AI scene recognition features. The 25-megapixel front camera comes with a Sony IMX576 sensor, a f/2.0 aperture, and real-time HDR capabilities. Additionally, an AI Beauty 2.0 app can detect a person’s age, gender, skin color, and skin type differences. The company claims that the new device can scan 296 facial recognition points for more precise and accurate facial recognition capabilities.
