The new handset is inspired by anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. It comes in a blue finish with ‘Evangelion’ written at the back.
Oppo has also added wallpapers inspired by the anime series. Additionally, the retail box features a unique white capsule-like design.
The new smartphone comes with Snapdragon 865 SoC and 65W Super Flash Charge support. Other features are identical to the Oppo Ace 2 (launched last month).

The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor along with 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.
The 4,000mAh battery comes with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge and 40W Air VOOC wireless fast charging support.
Cameras
On the back, Oppo Ace 2 sports a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor (f/1.7 aperture), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2), 2MP portrait sensor, and a 2MP monochrome lens (f/2.4).
For selfies and video calling, the handset sports a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.4 aperture. It is placed in a hole-punch cut out on the top left of the screen.

The Oppo Ace 2 runs the Android 10 operating system with ColorOS 7.1 on top. Connectivity options include 5G (SA/NSA), Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth v5.1, and USB Type-C port.
The 6.5-inch AMOLED display comes with Full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution, 402ppi pixel density, 90Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The dual-SIM smartphone measures 160 x 75.4 x 8.6mm and weighs 185 grams. Additional features on the device include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos support.

Price and Availability

The Oppo Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition is priced in China at CNY 4,399 (approx Rs 46,500). Sales will start on June 1. Pre-booking has started on the company’s official website.
Only 10,000 units of the Limited Edition model will be sold. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date.
The new limited edition comes on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Neon Genesis Evangelion anime. Oppo had launched EVA limited edition models of multiple products from its portfolio.
