In China, the new handset was launched at CNY 1,599 (approx Rs 16,500) for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. It comes in Fresh Powder, Lake Light Green, and Amber Gold color options. The company launched another variant (3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage) in Nepal with a price tag of NPR 35,790 (approx Rs 22,200).

The new handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and 3GB/ 4GB RAM. The 32GB/ 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card (up to 256GB). It is backed by a 4,230mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Oppo A7 sports a 16-megapixel selfie sensor. It sports a dual rear camera setup on the back (unspecified). Previous reports hinted at a combination of 13-megapixel primary sensor (f/2.2 aperture) and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor (f/2.4 aperture).
