The Oppo A3s was launched in India at Rs 10,990 for the 2GB RAM variant. It was reduced to Rs 8,990. Now, the 3G RAM variant is available at Rs 10,990 on Amazon.in (down from Rs 12,990). Last month, the company has slashed the price of 3GB RAM variant to Rs 11,990.

The new Oppo A3s features a 6.2-inch ‘Super Full Screen’ display with HD+ (720 x 1520 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. The 16GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). It is backed by a huge 4230mAh battery.

In terms of optics, the new handset sports a rear camera setup on the back with an LED flash. It uses a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The 8-megapixel front camera supports AI Beauty Technology 2.0. Oppo claims that the new AI technology uses a cloud database and acts as a ‘thinking photographer rather than a rigid software program.’

The new Oppo A3s comes with a notch on the display and 88.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. It measures 156.2 x 75.6 x 8.2mm. The thickness of the bezel is just 2.05mm. Oppo claims that a flux dispensing technology has been used to reduce the border by 16 percent. It comes in Dark Purple and Red color options.

The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with ColorOS 5.1 on top. Additionally, a Music Party feature allows users to increase the volume by connecting multiple smartphones with ColorOS 5.1 or higher version OS. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE.
