The Oppo A12 is now available in India at Rs 8,490 (down from Rs 8,990) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model now costs Rs 10,990 (down from Rs 11,490).
The Oppo A12 was initially launched in India at Rs 9,990 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The price was reduced in November to Rs 8,990.

The Oppo A12 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor and up to 4GB RAM.
The new smartphone comes equipped with a 4,320mAh battery. The 64GB internal storage is expandable up to 256GB (via a microSD card).
In terms of optics, the new smartphone sports a dual-camera setup on the back. It combines a 13MP primary sensor (f/2.2 aperture) and a 2MP depth sensor.
For selfies and video calling, the Oppo A12 features a 5MP front camera (f/2.4). It is housed in a waterdrop-shaped notch.
The camera app comes with a Dazzle Color Mode that is said to preserve natural colors in photos and makes them look more vibrant.

The Oppo A12 runs the Android 9 Pie operating system with ColorOS 6.1.2 on top. Connectivity options include 4G, dual-SIM, GPS, Beidu, Glonass, and Bluetooth 5.0.
The 6.22-inch display comes with HD+ (720 x 1,520 pixels) resolution, 89 percent screen-to-body ratio, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 450 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The new handset comes in Black and Blue color options. Additional features on the device include AI Beautification mode and Soloop Smart Video Editor.
