Earlier this week, Xiaomi announced its MIUI 7 in India. Out of plenty of features which MIUI 7 offers, the Data Saver is one of the talked about features. Xiaomi has partnered with Opera Software to power the Data Saver feature on all Xiaomi devices. The Opera Max technology has been powering the MIUI Data Saver feature on Xiaomi devices in China for more than a year and now the feature will be available on all Xiaomi devices worldwide.
The Data Saver feature compresses browser and in-app media. According to Xiaomi, this can reduce data usage across all applications by up to 50 percent This feature will be available in September in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines and India.

This new feature will give all of our users much more out of their data plans, and I believe Mi fans all over the world will love how this feature keeps their Internet costs under control,” Hugo Barra, Vice President, Xiaomi Global.
What is Data Saver Feature?
Data Saver app helps users save bandwidth by compressing content and optimizing video and audio streaming on popluar services including YouTube, Line and Instagram. Using this feature, the company claims that users will save more up to 50 percent of data.
