The new smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ processor along with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It supports virtual RAM (up to 11GB).
In terms of optics, the Nokia G42 5G sports a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and two 2-megapixel sensors. For selfies and video calling, it features an 8-megapixel front camera.
The new handset is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging. It is said to offer up to three days of playback time on a single charge.

The Nokia G42 5G runs Android 13 OS. The company is promising two years of Android OS upgrade and monthly security updates for three years.
Connectivity options on the device include 5G, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, and a USB Type-C port. It measures 165 x 8.55 x 75.8mm and it weighs 193.8 grams.
The 5G smartphone sports a 6.56-inch LCD display with HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixels) resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, 560 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IP52-rated build (dust and water resistance), an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, an e-compass, and a proximity sensor.
