As per a new teaser by a Chinese retailer (Suning), the new Nokia 6 (2018) will be launched in China on January 5. The Nanjing-based retailer is one of the official partners for Nokia phones in China. As of now, there is no information about the price and availability of the new device.
Specifications and Features
The new device (with model number TA-1054) with the TENAA certification is expected to be the new edition of Nokia 6. Previously, it was rumored to be Nokia 9. While TENAA listing does not reveal any specs, other leaks have emerged with details of the upcoming smartphone.
According to latest reports, the Nokia 6 (2018) will sport a 5.5-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 630 processor along with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It is also expected to sport a dual rear camera setup. Camera features might include the Bothie camera feature (introduced in the Nokia 8).
The upcoming smartphone is tipped to sport similar design language as Nokia 7. The capacitive touch button might be replaced with the on-screen navigation buttons.
As of now, there is no information about the price or launch date of the new smartphone. The original Nokia 6 was launched in January 2017. It is priced in India at Rs 14,999.

The original Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution and pixel density of 403ppi. It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and 3GB RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB).
On the camera front, the mid-range smartphone sports a 15-megapixel rear camera with PDAF (phase-detection autofocus), a f/2.0 aperture, 1-micron pixel sensor, and a dual-tone LED flash. The 8-megapixel autofocus front camera comes with a f/2.0 aperture. The 4G-enabled handset is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
The Nokia 6 runs Android 7.1.1 operating system. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, and FM radio. It measures 154.0 x 75.8 x 7.85mm and weighs 167 grams. Sensors on the dual-SIM smartphone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
