The Nokia 2.2 is now available in India at Rs 5,999 for the 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant. The 3GB RAM model comes with a price tag of Rs 6,999.
The budget smartphone was poriginally launched at Rs 7,699 and Rs 8,699 for the 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM models, respectively.

The Nokia 2.2 is powered by a 2.0GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor and up to 3GB RAM. The 16GB/ 32GB internal storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card (up to 400GB). The 3,000mAh battery comes with 5W charging support.
In terms of optics, the new handset sports a 13-megapixel rear camera (with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash) and a 5-megapixel front camera. Both cameras come with AI-powered features such as low-light fusion technology (helps in poor lighting situations).

The Nokia 2.2 runs Android 9 Pie operating system (part of the Android One Program). The company claims that it will be the first device in its price-segment to get Android Q update.
The smartphone comes with Digital Wellbeing features such as the Dashboard, App Timers, Wind Down, and the improved Do Not Disturb. Additionally, it features a dedicated Google Assistant button that supports the walkie-talkie feature.
The Nokia 2.2 comes with Google Lens support and Face Unlock feature (includes ‘liveliness detection’). Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a micro-USB port.
The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 5.71-inch display with HD+ resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. It also features a waterdrop-shaped notch.
The handset sports a polycarbonate body with glossy nano-coating. It measures 145.96 x 70.56 x 9.3mm and weighs 153 grams.
HMD Global is offering the Nokia 2.2 in Steel and Tungsten Black color options. Xpress-on covers will be available in Pink Sand, Forest Green, and Ice Blue color options.
