Apple has launched new Apple iPod Touch with improved specifications and features. Unlike the A5 chip in the previous generation, the new iPod Touch comes powered by a 64-bit Apple A8 chipset which is paired with M8 motion co-processor for fitness tracking.
On camera front, there is an 8 mega pixel rear camera as opposed to 5 mega pixel camera on its predecessor. Camera features include LED flash, ƒ/2.4 aperture and 1080p video recording. There is also a 1.2 mega pixel FaceTime camera with f/2.2 aperture and 720p video recording. The new Apple iPod Touch features a 4-inch IPS display with 1136×640 pixels resolution and 326ppi pixel density.
As for software, it runs iOS 8.4. The device comes preloaded with music streaming service called Apple Music with 3-month free trial. Once the trial is over, it will cost Rs. 120 per month for individual and Rs. 190 per month for family plan with up to six members. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1.

The new Apple iPod Touch is now available to buy across India. The 16GB variant is priced at Rs. 18,900; 32GB variant is priced at Rs. 22,900; and the 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 26,900. The device can be grabbed in five different colors- Space Grey, Silver, Gold, Pink and Blue.
