You can expect to buy the Motorola Moto Z2 in three variants – the regular Z2 and the cheaper Z2 Play. While the Moto Z2 will be a flagship smartphone, the Moto Z2 Play will be a mid-range device. Upon launch, the Moto Z2 will compete against the LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8. The Moto Z2 Play will compete against the likes of OnePlus 5 (at least price-wise). The Moto Z2 Force will compete against the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, Apple iPhone 7S and Google Pixel 2.

Motorola Moto Z2 Launch Date

Recent reports suggest that Motorola will launch the Moto Z2 Play before August 2017. However, it all depends on how soon the necessary components for the phone are sourced. As far as the Moto Z2 is concerned, expect it to come out by September/October 2017.

Last year, Motorola launched the Moto Z in three different variants. While the Moto Z Play’s focus was on delivering value, the rest two phones tried to compete in premium smartphone segment.
