The Microsoft Surface 3 which was announced last month in April 2015 is now sale in select countries- Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States. Microsoft has also introduced a limited offer for customers in Canada, United States and Puerto Rico, where they can trade in their working Surface RT or Surface 2 to get up to $150 towards Surface 3.
The Surface 3 variant with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage is priced at $499 (roughly Rs. 32,000) while the variant with 4GB and 128GB inbuilt storage can be grabbed for $599 (roughly Rs. 38,000).
Beginning May 7, it will be made available in few more countries- Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The Surface 3 tablet can be grabbed from microsoftstore.com, Microsoft Stores and select retailers in the available markets. Some accessories including Surface 3 type cover, Surface pen, Surface 3 docking station and Surface 3 protector are also available to buy for customizing the tablet.

Microsoft has launched its new tablet, the Microsoft Surface 3 which is being touted as thinnest and lightest Surface ever. There is also a 4G LTE version of Surface 3 tablet. As for specifications, the Surface 3 is powered by quad-core Intel Atom x7 processor. Based on storage, it will be available in two variants, one with 64 GB storage and 2 GB of RAM while the other variant houses 128 GB storage with 4 GB of RAM. Featuring a 10.8-inch screen, the tablet sports an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 3.5 mega pixel front facing camera. It runs 64-bit Windows 8.1 operating system which is upgradable to Windows 10 for free later this year when it will be available.
It measures 8.7 mm in thickness and weighs 622 grams. The tablet sports a massive battery which is claimed to survive up to 10 hours. Microsoft is also offering 1 TB of OneDrive storage and subscription to Office 365 for one year including full versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote.
On connectivity front, it packs a full size USB 3.0 port, Mini DisplayPort and a microSD card reader. Surface 3 supports Docking station to turn it into a full-fledged laptop by connecting HD monitor, printer, external mouse and keyboard. The device will come with support for Surface Pen just like the Surface Pro 3 in silver, blue, red and black colors which the buyers will have to buy separately.

Price and Availability
The Microsoft Surface 3 will be available at a starting price of $499. It is available for pre-orders in the US through microsoftstore.com, Microsoft Stores and select retailers while it will go on sale starting May 5 with availability in 26 markets by May 7.
