Microsoft Lumia 435 Launched In India: Price, Specs & Features

Microsoft has launched its another Lumia series smartphone, Microsoft Lumia 435 in India. This device is now available in India at Rs. 5,999 in green, orange, white and black color options and in single-SIM and dual-SIM variants. As far as specifications of this device are concerned, the Lumia 435 is powered by 1.2 GHz Dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and runs on Windows Phone 8.1 operating system with Lumia Denim. It features a 4 inch display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. On storage front, it entails 8 GB of in-built storage which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. The handset sports a 2 mega pixel rear camera and a VGA front facing camera. It further packs a 1560 mAh battery which is rated to deliver 21 days of stand by time and 11.7 hours of talk time on 3G network. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Micro-USB and it weighs 134.1 grams. The handset also comes bundled with several offers like Airtel subscribers will get 500 MB of internet data free of cost per month for 2 months, with the use of Windows Phone RedBus app, travellers will get discounts worth Rs. 1,500 and much more.

It was earlier this year in November 2014 that Microsoft launched Lumia 535 as its first smartphone under Microsoft brand name and without Nokia branding. Now Microsoft has reportedly been working on another entry level device in the Lumia series- Microsoft Lumia 435. NokiaPowerUser has spotted this device on FCC in Indonesia (Certification website). This device will be available in many variants- RM-1070, RM-1071, RM-1034, RM-1068 and RM-1032.

According to the leaked specifications and images, Lumia 435 is powered by a Snapdragon 200 processor. It will feature a 4 inch display with 480 × 800 pixels resolution and 235 ppi pixel density. It sports a 5 mega pixel primary camera while the dimensions of the smartphone are 118.1 × 64.7 mm.

FCC certifications have further revealed that it will come packed with BV-5J battery, which is exclusive to Lumia 435. Talking about the different variants, the RM-1070, RM-1071 and RM-1034 variants will come with single SIM support while the RM-1068 and RM-1032 variants will come with dual-SIM support.

Looking at the specifications of this upcoming device, it looks like the successor of Lumia 520 which features similar specs. It is powered by Dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm processor accompanied with 512 MB RAM, 8 GB of internal storage for saving images, videos, audios and so on. It runs on Windows Phone 8 operating system. Lumia 520 further comes with 4 inch IPS LCD WVGA capacitive touchscreen display. It sports a 5 mega pixel primary camera while it does not feature any front facing camera. The dimensions are 119.9 mm x 64 mm which is slightly larger than the Lumia 435 with 118.1 × 64.7 mm dimensions. The primary camera of both the phones is same at 5 mega pixel.
