Domestic handset manufacturer Micromax has started rolling out Android 5.0 update for its Canvas series smartphones. Micromax Canvas Xpress A99 will be the first handset to receive the update. The update has been rolled out via OTA (Over The Air) and the device will be required to be connected to internet for upgrade. Users will be automatically notified when the update will be available.
To remind you, Micromax Canvas Xpress A99 is powered by a Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It features a 4.5 inch FWVGA display and runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2 operating system. Other specifications of the device include 8 GB ROM (expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card), a 5 mega pixel auto focus rear camera, 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera and a 1950 mAh battery. How To Get Android 5.0 Update For Canvas Series Smartphones
The update has been rolled out over OTA. Users will be notified when the update will be available on their device for download. But notification will be sent only when their device will be connected to internet. Users can follow simple steps to download and update the operating system.
Users can also check for the update manually on their devices. Since the update has been rolled out for Micromax Canvas Xpress, you can get the update using these steps: Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update. If new update is available, users can tap it to download and install.
