Micromax has launched its new budget friendly smartphone dubbed the Micromax Canvas Spark in the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 4,999, the handset will go on sale exclusively on Snapdeal.com starting April 29 while registrations for first flash sale are now open. The 3G-enabled Canvas Spark will compete with the likes of InFocus M2 and Android One smartphones. Processor & RAM
This round is a tie since all the three handsets are powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and Mali 400 GPU.
Display
Micromax Canvas Spark leads in this section with a large 4.7 inch qHD (960×540 pixels) display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Android One features a 4.5 inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display and InFocus M2 sports a 4.2 inch WXGA (1280×768 pixels) display.
Operating System
The Micromax Canvas Spark runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The InFocus M2 runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system while Android One runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Storage
Canvas Spark and InFocus M2 house 8 GB of inbuilt storage while Android One comes with 4 GB of internal memory. All the three handsets support microSD card for further expandability.

Verdict
Despite carrying a slightly higher price tag, Android One lags behind its rivals on many fronts such as inbuilt memory, battery and front camera. Micromax Canvas Spark and InFocus are priced the same as well as they match quite closely in terms of specifications. Thus, road doesn’t seem smooth for Canvas Spark and it will have tough time competing with its equally competent rival InFocus M2 in the Indian market.
