Micromax has launched a news smartphone in Canvas series, called the Micromax Sliver 5. Boasting mere 5.1mm thickness and 97 grams of weight, the company is touting it as slimmest and lightest smartphone ever. Besides sleek and light weight design, the handset comes with 4G LTE support and is the second 4G enabled phone launched by the company after Canvas Knight 2.
As for specifications, it is powered by a 64-bit 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Running Android Lollipop operating system, it features a 4.8-inch HD AMOLED display with Gorilla glass 3 protection.
On camera front, it comes with an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. There is 16GB of inbuilt storage (non-expandable) onboard. The Micromax Sliver 5 is backed up by a 2000mAh battery. Furthermore, the handset comes with free 4G SIM and double data offer from Airtel .

Priced at Rs. 17,999, the Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 will go on sale via offline and online stores across the country from end of June 2015.
