Micromax has launched its Micromax Canvas 5 Lite Special Edition smartphone. Highlight of this phone is that it features maple and walnut wood finish on the rear which adds to its aesthetic appeal. As for specifications, the Canvas 5 Lite is a toned down version of the Micromax Canvas 5 which was launched in 2015.
The Canvas 5 Lite Special Edition is powered by a 64-bit 1GHz quad-core MediaTek’s MTK6735P processor paired with 3GB of RAM. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, it features a 5-inch HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. On storage front, it houses 16GB of internal memory. The phone sports an 8 mega pixel primary camera with LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 2000mAh battery, it offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
The Micromax Canvas 5 on the other hand, comes with a 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor paired with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It packs a 5.2-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3) display and runs Android Lollipop operating system. Other specifications of the phone include 13 mega pixel rear camera with PDAF, 5 mega pixel front camera with flash and a 2900mAh battery.
