The new Canvas 1 sports a 5-inch 2.5D In-cell display with HD resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and 2GB DDR3 RAM. The 16GB internal storage can be further expanded up to 32GB. Micromax claims that the new handset comes with large Capacity Rapid Access and has the High density for compact storage. It allows you to store more than 4K images and 2000 songs plus 250 mins videos.
On the camera front, it sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with 80-degree wide view angle and Dual color temperature flash. Camera modes include beauty mode, time lapse, watermark, and HDR. There is also a 5-megapixel front camera with 85-degree wide angle for selfies. It is backed by a 2500 mAh battery, which can last up to 7 hours.

The Micromax Canvas 1 runs the latest Android Nougat operating system (out of the box). It comes with multi window support, enhanced Doze Mode, new quick settings option, and bundled notifications. Additionally, an App Freezer feature disables memory-intensive apps to save memory resources.
The new smartphone includes smart keys in its design. The iPhone look-alike has a thickness of 8.3 mm and weighs 150 grams. The Dual speakers are powered by smart audio PA. The new smartphone can be connected to Serial Communications, Keyboards/Mice, and Game controllers via OTG.
