Domestic handset maker, Micromax has expanded its Bolt series with the launch of its new smartphone, Micromax Bolt D321 in India. The handset is now listed on company’s official website. Under the hood, the phone comes powered with 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor accompanied with 512 MB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system. It features a 5 inch FWVGA display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. Read on to find more information on specifications, features, price and availability of Bolt D321.
On camera front, Bolt D321 sports a 5 mega pixel fixed focus rear camera with LED flash while there is also a 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera on board. For storage purpose, it houses 4 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Connectivity options on the smartphone includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE, GPS and Micro-USB. The handset comes fuelled with an 1800 mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time.
It comes preloaded with some apps like Clean Master, Games Club, Dr. Safety, Hike, Ask Me, Hello TV, MAD, M!Games, M!Live, M!Insurance, M!Security, Saavn, Snapdeal, Quikr, Start, SwiftKey, Truecaller and Opera Mini.

Micromax had also launched its Canvas series phone, Micomax Canvas Pep earlier this week. Priced at Rs. 5,999, the Canvas Pep is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek 6582M processor alongside 1 GB of RAM. Other specification of the handset include 4.5 inch FWVGA display (854 x 480 pixels resolution), Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 8 GB of inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card), 5 mega pixel primary camera, 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera and 1700 mAh battery.
Micromax has also started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Canvas series smartphones. The upgrade has been rolled out for Canvas Xpress first. Users will get a notification for the update when connected to internet.
