Micromax has launched its latest smartphone in the Canvas series- Micromax Canvas Nitro 4G E455. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, it features a 5-inch IPS display with 1280×720 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
There is 16GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The smartphone sports a 13 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5 mega front facing camera.
Backed up by a 2500mAh battery, it is claimed to deliver 8 hours of talk time and 273 hours of standby time. The handset measures 140.5×69.75×9.3 mm in dimensions and weighs 135 grams.

Micromax also launched its Canvas Xpress 2 smartphone in India last month in July 2015 for Rs. 5,999. Specifications of the smartphone include 1.4GHz octa-core processor, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Lollipop) operating system, 5-inch HD IPS (720p, Gorilla Glass 3 protection) display, 8GB inbuilt storage, 13 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with dual LED Flash, 2 mega pixel front facing camera and 2500mAh battery.
