The new notebook comes with several upgrades over the company’s original gaming laptop. Along with an all-new ‘Quick Cooling’ system, it comes with 9th-gen Intel Core i7 processor, full-HD display (144Hz refresh rate), Dolby surround sound, Hi-Res Audio-certified audio system, and four-partition backlit keyboard (for customizable light zones).

The Xiaomi Mi gaming laptop 2019 is powered by 9th-generation Intel Core i7-9750H/ Core i5-9300H processors along with up to 12MB cache, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics, 8GB/ 16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM and 512GB PCIe SSD storage.
The highlight of the device is its in-house thermal management system that increases its cooling efficiency by 60 percent. The new notebook uses 3+2 large-diameter heat pipe along with S-shaped turbine metal blades and a 12v drive motor.
The 55Wh battery is touted to offer 4.5 hours of video playback or web browsing on a single charge.

The new notebook runs Windows 10 operating system. Connectivity options include Intel 2×2 dual-antenna Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, four USB 3.0 ports, full-size HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, 3.5mm headphone jack, and microphone jack. The three-in-one card reader supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards.
For audio, the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 features two 3W speakers with support for Dolby surround sound technology and Hi-Res Audio standard. For HD video calling, it features a webcam with a digital array of microphones.
In terms of design, the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 looks almost identical to its predecessor. Heat vents are placed on both sides. It measures 364 x 265.2 x 20.9mm and weighs 2.6 kilograms.
The new laptop sports a 15.6-inch anti-glare display with Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and a pixel density of 142ppi. It also comes with 144Hz refresh rate, 72 percent NTSC color gamut, 178-degree wide viewing angle, and 300 nits of brightness.
The four-partition backlit keyboard comes with 1.8mm keystroke, five programmable buttons, and a 30-key anti-collision design. Additionally, the glass touchpad supports multi-finger gestures (backed by Microsoft PTP clickpad technology).
