The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 comes with several upgrades over its predecessor. It features a larger 1.1-inch color AMOLED display, compared to the 0.95-inch screen on the Mi Band 4.
The new fitness tracker will be available in a standard version and an NFC version. Users can choose from eight colorful strap options.
Additional features include up to 14 days battery life, water-resistance (up to 50 meters), and a new magnetic charging dock. Let’s take a closer look:

The Xiaomi Mi 5 sports a 1.1-inch colored AMOLED display. It comes with over 100 new animated watch faces.
The new fitness tracker features 11 sport modes. There is also a Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) Activity Index that helps users track and understand their fitness activity.

The Mi Band 5 features a heart rate sensor and an improved sleep monitoring system. The women’s health mode allows users to track their menstrual cycle.
The smart band comes with a built-in microphone and supports voice commands. A new remote-control camera feature lets users click a photo from their smartphone.
The Mi Band 5 also offers social media notifications, music control, incoming calls, text, and weather updates. The NFC variant allows users to make payments via the band.
The fitness band supports magnetic charging (you can charge it without taking the straps off. While the standard model can last up to 20 days on a single charge, the NFC variant offers 14 days of battery life.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is priced at CNY 189 (approx Rs 2,000) for the standard model. The NFC variant costs CNY 229 (approx Rs 2,500).
The new smart band comes in multiple strap options – Black, Blue, Pink, Orange, Purple, Yellow, and Green.
Sales will start in China on June 18. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.
