Xiaomi has launched a toned-down version of its Mi 10 smartphone (launched in February). Instead of a hole-punch design, it sports a waterdrop-shaped notch upfront.
The highlight of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Zoom Edition is a quad rear camera setup that offers 50x digital zoom. Additional features include a Snapdragon 765G SoC, dual-mode suspension liquid cooling, 4,160mAh battery, and NFC support.
The new handset is also known as Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G as it is known in China. Let’s take a closer look at its specs and features:

The new smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G octa-core processor along with Adreno 620 GPU, up to 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB internal storage.
Ther Xiaomi Mi 10 Zoom Edition is backed by a 4,160mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.
Cameras
In terms of optics, the handset sports a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP ultra-clear primary sensor (f/1.9 aperture), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (120-degree field of view, f/2.2), and a 2MP macro lens (2cm-10cm focusing distance).
The 8MP periscope telephoto lens offers 50x periscope zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and 5x optical zoom support. Other features include Super Night Scene 2.0, AI Smart Slimming, Portrait Blue Adjustment, and 4k video capture at 30fps.
For selfies and video calling, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Zoom Edition sports a 16MP front camera with 3D beauty makeup, front panorama, front HDR, portrait mode, and baby beauty features.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Zoom Edition runs Android 10 OS with MIUI 11 on top. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.57-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 800nits peak brightness, 4,300,000: 1 contrast ratio, TUV Rheinland eye protection, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 support.
The Mi 10 Zoom Edition comes in Black Skill Storm, Blueberry Mint, Four Seasons Spring Milk Green, Peach Grapefruit, and White Peach Oolong color options. It measures 164.02 x 74.77 x 7mm and weighs 192 grams.
Sensors on the device include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, ultrasonic distance sensor, ambient light sensor, acceleration sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, linear motor sensor, and infrared remote control.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Zoom Edition is priced at CNY 2,099 (approx Rs 22,500) for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant.
The 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage and 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage models cost CNY 2,299 (approx Rs 24,700) and CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 26,900), respectively.
Additionally, the top-end variant (with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage) comes with a price tag of CNY 2,799 (approx Rs 30,100).
The new smartphone is now available for pre-sales. Sales will start in China on April 30.
