Meizu has launched multiple new devices in the Chinese market. This includes the new Meizu V8 and V8 Pro. Both handsets come with 5.7-inch 18:9 display. The Meizu V8 is priced in China at CNY 799 (approx Rs 8,400). The Meizu V8 Pro comes with a price tag of CNY 1,098 (approx Rs 11,600). Both smartphones are now available for pre-order on Meizu’s own site, Tmall, JD.com, and Suning. Sales start on September 26. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date.

The new smartphones come with nearly identical specifications. Both devices sport a 5.7-inch display with HD+ (720 x 1440pixels) resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. However, while the Meizu V8 sports a single rear camera, the V8 Pro sports a dual camera setup on the back.

The new handset is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 processor and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). It is backed by a 3,200mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Meizu V8 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.2 aperture and two-colour dual-LED flash. The 5-megapixel front camera comes with a f/1.9 aperture.
The dual-SIM smartphones run Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Flyme OS on top. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port.
The new handset measures 148 x 73 x 8.4mm and weighs 145 grams. It comes in Black and White color options. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor, digital compass, and a software gyroscope.
