LG has announced the launch of its LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition Android Wear smartwatch. It succeeds the LG Watch Urbane and is the first Android Wear smartwatch to come with 4G LTE support.
As for specifications, it is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 768MB of RAM. Running Android Wear operating system, it is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones. It features a 1.38-inch P-OLED display with 480×480 pixels resolution, 348ppi pixel density and Gorilla Glass 3 protection against scratches. The smartwatch is backed up by a 570mAh battery and measures 44.5×14.2mm in dimensions.
The Watch Urbane 2nd Edition comes with IP67 rating for resistance against water and dust. Besides 4G LTE support, it offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options. On storage front, it houses 4GB of internal memory.
On design front, it flaunts its stainless steel body and hypoallergenic elastomer band. It comes with three buttons which provide access to shortcut settings like contacts, app list and LG health. The middle button which looks like a crown, allows users to enable or disable the Ambient mode. The wearable comes with 16 watch faces as well as some fitness features like stress level monitoring, heart rate monitor and work out tips. It will be available in opal blue, space black, luxe white and signature brown color options.
