LG has finally launched its dual-screen smartphone the South Korean market. It was initially unveiled at MWC 2019 alongside the LG G8 ThinQ and LG G8s ThinQ. The LG V50 ThinQ 5G is priced in South Korea at KRW 1,119,000 (approx Rs 73,000). The Dual Screen Attachment (worth KRW 219,000 or approx Rs 13,300) will be bundled for all purchases till May.
The new handset comes in a single Black color option. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date.

The new smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor along with Adreno 640 GPU and 6GB RAM. The 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 2TB). The Snapdragon X50 modem supports 5G connectivity. The 4,000mAh battery supports the Quick Charge3.0 fast charging.
In terms of optics, the LG V50 ThinQ 5G features a triple rear camera setup on the back. It combines a 12-megapixel primary sensor (78-degree lens, f/1.5 aperture, 1.4-micron pixel size), a 12-megapixel secondary sensor (5-degree telephoto lens, f/2.4 aperture, 1-micron pixel size), and a 16-megapixel tertiary sensor (107-degree wide-angle lens, f/1.9 aperture, 1-micron pixel size).
For selfies and video calling, the new handset sports a dual camera setup on the front. It uses an 8-megapixel RGB sensor (f/1.9 aperture, 1-micron pixel size, 80-degree lens) and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor (90-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.2 aperture, 1.12-micron pixels).

The LG V50 ThinQ 5G runs Android 9 Pie operating system. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE-A, 3G, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and a USB Type-C port.
The dual SIM smartphone sports a 6.4-inch QHD (1440×3120 pixels) OLED FullVision display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, HDR10 support, and a pixel density of 538ppi. The second display (called Dual Screen) looks like a flip cover. It is connected via Pogo pin connectors. The 6.2-inch OLED display comes with full-HD (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution.
The LG V50 ThinQ 5G features a MIL-STD 810G certified build and comes with an IP68 rating (dust and water resistance). It measures 159.10 x 76.10 x 8.3mm and weighs 183 grams.
For audio, the new handset sports full-range BoomBox stereo speakers (with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and DTS:X 3D surround sound support). It also supports the Qualcomm aptX and aptX HD audio technology for wireless audio accessories.
