The new smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor along with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The 3,550mAh battery comes with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
In terms of optics, the LG G8s ThinQ sports a triple camera setup on the back. It uses a 12MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture), 13MP wide-angle sensor (137-degree field of view), and a 12MP telephoto lens (f/2.6 aperture).
For selfies and video calling, the new handset features an 8-megapixel front camera with a secondary ToF sensor. Camera features include Hand ID, Air Motion, and Face Unlock.
The Hand ID feature identifies the pattern of veins in users’ hands for authentication by using infrared light. Whereas the Air Motion uses touchless hand gestures to perform various actions such as navigating the gallery.
