LG has finally launched its much awaited flagship phone LG G4 in India for Rs. 51,000. Successor of LG G3, the G4 packs great specs and comes with optional stitched leather back. The device has maintained a balance between high-end specs and premium design.

LG on Tuesday has made its much anticipated flagship phone LG G4 official. The G4 will go on sale starting April 29 in Korea, followed by 180 carriers across the world. LG has not revealed pricing details of the handset as of now. It will be available in both leather back (six options- Black, Brown, Blue, Red, Yellow and Beige) and plastic back (three options- White, Silver and Grey). On design front, it features a gently curved back boasting Slim Arc design which offers 20 percent better durability than a flat smartphone when dropped face down.
As for specifications of G4, the details are in line with the previous leaks. It packs a 1.8 GHz 64-bit Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM and features a 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS (2560×1440 pixels) Quantum display with 538 ppi pixel density.
It comes with 32 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card. There is a 16 mega pixel camera on the rear and an 8 mega pixel camera on the front. The G4 is backed up by a 3000 mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 OS with LG UX 4.0. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC.

LG has released a teaser video of its upcoming flagship device LG G4 which is scheduled to be launched on April 28, 2015. The 46 seconds video shows glimpse of the device and solely focuses on G4’s Quantum IPS Quad-HD display. The video starts with a question- “Do you think all QHD displays are the same?” and notes that Quantum QHD display is 25 percent brighter with 20 percent wider color range followed by the tag line “See the Great, Feel the Great”. Previously, G4’s product page revealing its specs was also spotted on company’s official website which was staken down within few hours. Ahead of its official debut on April 28, images and specs of upcoming LG G4 have been leaked. Details about the flagship G4 accidentally went live for few hours on company’s website, the product page however has now been taken down. According to the listings, the handset will feature a 5.5-inch Quad-HD IPS display, 16 mega pixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and IR sensor, microSD slot and a 3000 mAh battery. The G4 sports an arc design with dimensions of 149.1×75.3×8.9 mm. The device will come in leather back panel as well as plastic back covers in several colors options.

LG has launched its new 5.5-inch QHD LCD display for smartphones. LG has also revealed the company will be using this display in its “forthcoming flagship smartphone to be unveiled at the end of the month” which we expect to be LG’s next flagship LG G4 phone. Featuring Advanced In-Cell Touch technology, the new QHD display comes with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 resolution and pixel density of 538 ppi.

LG has started sending out invites for its upcoming event which is scheduled next month where it is expected to launch its next flagship LG G4 phone. LG will be hosting the event in several countries- New York, London, Paris, Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul on April 28 and April 29 2015, depending on the time zone. The invite sent by LG reads “See the Great, Feel the Great” which is written on leather material, so we could expect LG G4 to arrive with a leather back. There is no official word about specifications of the handset, however there are plenty of rumors already which are churning out rumor mill.

It’s been an year since the LG G3 was launched. Now it’s time that LG is going to launch its next flagship, LG G4. Rumor mill has already started churning out a lot of information about the upcoming LG G4 smartphone. As per the information revealed by @OnLeaks, the handset will feature a 5.6 inch display, details about display resolution however not known yet. We expect the resolution to be 2560 x 1440 pixel just like its predecessor.
As for the specifications the LG’s upcoming flagship will be powered by Snapdragon 810 SoC paired with 3 GB of RAM. The handset will run on Android Lollipop, unlike the KitKat operating system of its predecessor. On photography front, it is most likely to sport a 16 mega pixel rear camera with dual-LED flash. On the design front, in the leaked images, the handset looks more like LG G Flex 2 smartphone with curved body. The dimensions of the handset are reported to be 148.9 x 76.5 x 9.9 mm.
To recall, the LG G3 smartphone was launched back in 2014. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz coupled with Adreno 330 GPU. Running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system with LG’s GUI on top, it features a 5.5 inch Quad HD display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and 538 ppi pixel density. The handset sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, Laser auto focus technology, Optical image stabilization and BSI sensor. There is also a 2.1 mega pixel front facing camera onboard. The handset comes with choice of 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM which houses 16 GB and 32 GB of internal storage respectively, both of which are expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. The LG G3 is fueled by a 3000 mAh battery and supports 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC as connectivity options.
