While LG was rumored to launch a G4 Note phablet along with its flagship smartphone LG G4, it launched an affordable variant, dubbed the LG G4 Stylus.
Leaked image of the Note version had already leaked earlier this year, now a new trademark filing and logo has been spotted on USPTO hinting that LG is likely to launch the LG G4 Note soon. If reports are to be believed, the G4 Note would be a variant of the flagship G4 with high end specs and will feature a stylus. The device will take on Samsung Galaxy Note 5. LG seems all set to launch a larger variant of G4, named LG G4 Note. Earlier this month we reported about leaked images and specifications of upcoming LG G4 phone while now alleged images of LG G4 Note have started hitting the web. As per the images leaked by an XDA user, the handset which appears to be the G4 Note resembles LG G4 and looks like its larger variant.
Coming to the design of the handset, as per the leaked photos, the LG’s upcoming device flaunts a brushed metal rear just like the LG G3. It also features curved design which seems to be inspired from the LG G Flex 2 smartphone. The images also reveal that the handset will come with thin bezels and stylus just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. A stylus slot has been provided on the top left at the back of the phone.
Details about specifications of G4 Note are scarce as of now, however the leaked images reveal that the device runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system.
The LG G4 has already been launched in India earlier this year. Specifications of the device include 1.8 GHz 64-bit Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, Android 5.1 OS with LG UX 4.0, 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS Quantum (2560×1440 pixels, 538 ppi) display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage (expandable via microSD card), 16 mega pixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS 2.0, 8 mega pixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 3000 mAh battery. It measures 148.9 x 76.1 x 6.3 mm and weighs 155 grams.
The LG G4 succeeds the LG G3 smartphone. Specifications of G3 include a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor paired with Adreno 330 GPU, Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with LG’s GUI, 5.5 inch Quad HD display (2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, 538 ppi pixel density), 13 mega pixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, 2.1 mega pixel front facing camera, 3000 mAh battery. It further comes with choice of 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM with 16 GB and 32 GB of internal storage respectively. The storage is further expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card.
This information should be taken with a pinch of salt since LG has not revealed anything officially yet. Stay tuned for more developments on this story.
