LG has launched a new mid-ranged Android smartphone- LG Band Play in Korea. The handset is targeted at photography lovers and music buffs. The phone comes with 1W speakers which offer clear sound and features ‘focus mode’ which allows users to concentrate on work without any disturbance resulting from phone calls or notifications. This mode automatically turns off data, Wi-Fi and rejects calls. It also comes with premium QuadBeat 3 earphones for superior sound quality.
As for specifications, it is powered by a Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz paired with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, it features a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. It houses 16GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable using microSD card. On camera front, it sports a 13 mega pixel primary camera with laser auto focus and LED Flash while there is also a 5 mega pixel front facing camera on board. Backed up by a 2300mAh battery, it measures 139.7×71.9×8.3 mm in dimensions and weighs 126 grams. The Band Play smartphone offers 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS as connectivity options.

The LG Band Play will go on sale in Korea for KRW 394,800 (approximately Rs. 22,500) in Black and White color options starting June 25. There is no word on global pricing and availability details of the handset as of now.
