Price and Availability

The South Korean electronics giant is expected to launch the 88-inch 8K OLED TV at upcoming CES 2018. As of now, there is no information about the price of the huge television set. The 77-inch 4K TV is priced at $20,000 (approx Rs 12,73,500).

Features

The highlight of the upcoming 88-inch display is its 8K resolution. However, since 4K OLED screens and 4K content are becoming more common, an 8K display is not a smart buy. While normal users might find it hard to find the right content for the new TV, it might serve as a better solution for commercial users.

While Samsung already offers an 88-inch TV, it comes with only 4K resolution and uses QLED technology. The quality of QLED technology is still debatable. On the other hand, LGis already working on a new organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panels. The production facility for the upcoming display panels is set up in China. The company plans to invest in large-scale OLED production in Guangzhou, China.
