LeEco introduced its Le 1s smartphone in India earlier this year. Priced at Rs. 10,999, the device was launched exclusively via Flipkart. Now the company has announced its foray into the brick and mortar stores in the country. LeEco will start selling the Le 1s via offline stores in India. In the first phase, it will start selling Le 1s in New Delhi and Mumbai while the second phase will cover around 70% retail stores across the country by the end of September 2016.

LeEco, formerly known as Letv, has today launched its Le 1s smartphone along with Le Max phone in the Indian market. Boasting its stunning design and powerful configuration, the Le 1S is priced at Rs. 10,999. It will be available to buy exclusively from online retailer Flipkart. First flash sale will take place on February 2 while registrations for the same are open now.

On aesthetics front, the Le 1S flaunts it’s full metal unibody design which looks premium in hand. With weight of mere 169 grams, it does not feel very heavy while holding in hand.
On the front, there is a 5.5-inch display which is nearly bezel less. Above the display, there is LED notification, sensor, earpiece and front camera. Below the display, there are three touch capacitive buttons which are backlit and are a part of the bottom bezel of the phone.
On the top edge there is 3.5mm audio jack and IR blaster.
Bottom edge houses USB Type C port, speakers and microphone. Speaker audio is loud and clear.
Volume rockers and power button are located on the right edge.
SIM card tray is placed on the left edge.
On the rear of the phone, there is a 13 mega pixel primary camera, LED flash, fingerprint scanner for additional security and Letv branding. The fingerprint scanner supports 360 recognition. The fingerprint scanner supports LeTouch technology and can unlock the phone within 0.15 seconds with 99.3 percent accuracy.
It features a 5.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The display is bright, sharp and vivid with good viewing angles and good sunlight legibility.
At the heart of the phone, is an octa-core Helio X10 Turbo processor paired with 3GB of RAM. On testing the phone on An tu tu benchmarks, we got a score of around 55300 points. Overall performance of the phone is impressive. It handles multitasking with ease and phone doesn’t show any lag or heating issues even while playing graphic intensive games.
On software front, the device runs Android Lollipop wrapped under EUI 5.5. The software is smooth and responsive with negligible bloatware. It supports USB OTG, but for that you will need Type C USB pen-drive or Type C OTG cable or adaptor.
Coming to photography department, it sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera rear camera with LED flash and PDAF. There is also a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. Images captured by this phone have good level of detailing and clarity. Check out some shots taken by the Le 1S:
It houses 32GB of internal memory but lacks microSD card support for expandable storage. It is backed up by a 3000mAh non-removable battery and is good enough to survive for up to two days on moderate usage. It is claimed to deliver up to 3.5 hours of talk time with just 5 minutes of charging. It comes with USB Type C port and offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as connectivity options.
