Chinese multinational tech company Lenovo announced the arrival of the Watch X smartwatch. It was announced during the launch of the Z5 smartphone. The Lenovo Watch X will be available in two variants. Its sale date hasn’t been revealed yet.

The company is currently taking registrations for the smartwatch. It’s being in China currently. The gadget has an OLED display. The Lenovo Watch X also has 45 days long standby time. It is priced at CNY 299 (approximately Rs. 3,100).
The smartwatch has been built with a metallic belt and a round dial. It is available as Watch X and Watch X Explorer Edition. Both these models will be sold in Milanese and leather strap variants. The Watch X leather strap variant will be sold at CNY 329, meanwhile, the normal variant will be sold at CNY 299. The Lenovo Watch X Explorer Edition’s Milanese variant is priced at CNY 399, and the Explorer Edition leather strap variant is priced at CNY 429.
The Lenovo Watch X is equipped with six professional sensors. They measure air pressure, heart rate, and blood pressure. The gadget has a 600mAh battery. It permits 45 days of standby time. It also has water resistance (up to 80 meters supported).
This move shows that the company is interested in the smartwatch market which has been rising.
Other Developments
The company also launched its premium Lenovo Z5 handset on 5th June 2018, at an event in Beijing. Speculations and rumors had hinted at an all-display bezel-less design. The handset is built with a 26.17mm notch on top. It also has a 7.69mm bezel on the bottom.
The smartphone will also be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC. It will sport a vertical dual-rear camera setup with AI capabilities. It notch is also like the one in iPhone X.
In China, the Lenovo Z5 has been priced at CNY 1,399 for the 6GB RAM+64GB storage variant. In Indian currency, it is approximately Rs. 14,700. The 6GB RAM+128GB inbuilt storage variant is being sold for CNY 1,799. In Indian currency, it is roughly Rs. 18,900.
The handset will be available for pre-orders and shipping in China on 12th June 2018, from 10 AM.
