Lenovo has launched the industry’s first laptop with a 17.3-inch Micro-LED transparent display and a transparent keyboard area. The borderless screen comes with 1000 nits of brightness.
The Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent Display Laptop Concept is said to use artificial intelligence (AI) in tasks. It will allow users to switch between the keyboard and drawing board with a supported pen.
While a ‘proof of concept’ laptop is not expected to be available anytime soon, Lenovo has launched the latest generation of ThinkPad laptops with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors.
The new lineup includes ThinkPad T14 i Gen 5, ThinkPad T14s Gen 5, ThinkPad T16 Gen 3, ThinkPad X12 Detachable Gen 2, and ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 Gen 4. Let’s take a closer look:
Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5
The new laptop is powered by Intel’s Ultra Core processors with up to 64GB DDR5 RAM, up to 2TB SSD storage, Intel vPro and Intel Arc graphics. It is also available with an AMD Ryzen 8040 CPU option with built-in AMD Ryzen AI.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 comes in Eclipse Black and Luna Grey colour options. It measures 315.9 x 223.7 x 17.7mm and weighs around 1.30 kilograms.
The new laptop comes with up to 14-inch 2.8K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 400nits brightness. It is backed by up to 52.5Whr battery. A fingerprint reader is integrated into the keyboard.
Additional features include a 5-megapixel camera, dual speakers, dual microphones, Windows 11 Pro OS, up to Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and an IR Camera option with Windows Hello facial recognition.

Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 3
The new laptop is powered by Intel’s Ultra Core processors with up to 64GB DDR5 RAM, up to 2TB SSD storage, Intel vPro and Intel Arc graphics. It is backed by up to 86Whr battery.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 3 comes in Eclipse Black shade. It measures 359.7 x 251.7 x 23.5mm and weighs 1.63 kilograms.
The new laptop sports up to 16-inch OLED display with 4K resolution. Additional features include a 5-megapixel camera, dual speakers, dual microphones, up to Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and an IR Camera option with Windows Hello facial recognition.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 5
The new laptop is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors (with Intel vPro) along with up to 64GB DDR5 RAM, and up to 2TB PCIe Gen4x4 SSD storage. It is backed by a 58Whr battery.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 5 comes in Eclipse Black and Luna Grey colour options. It sports up to 14-inch 2.8K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 400nits of brightness.
For photos and videos, the new laptop features a 5-megapixel camera. For audio, the company has added dual speakers and dual microphones with Dolby Voice support.
Additional features include Windows 11 Pro operating system, up to Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, Dolby Atmos technology, a fingerprint reader, and an IR camera with Windows Hello facial recognition.

Lenovo ThinkPad X12 Detachable Gen 2
The new laptop is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors (with Intel vPro) along with up to 32GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB CIe Gen4x4 SSD storage. It is backed by a 42Whr battery.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X12 Detachable Gen 2 comes in Eclipse Black shade. It features a 12.3-inch WUXGA IPS display with 400nits brightness.
For photos and videos, the new laptop features an 8-megapixel camera. For audio, the company has added dual speakers and dual microphones with Dolby Voice support.
Additional features include Windows 11 Pro operating system, up to Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, Dolby Audio support, a fingerprint reader, and an IR camera with Windows Hello facial recognition.
