Recently, the Lenovo S5 Pro was spotted on TENAA website. Now, the company has officially unveiled the new handset in China. The Lenovo S5 Pro is priced in China at CNY 1,298 (approx Rs 13,700) for the 64GB storage variant. The company ha snot revealed the price of the 128GB storage model as yet. The new smartphone will available in the country from October 23. It comes in Black, Blue, and Gold color options.
As of now, there is no information about an Indian launch date or price.

The new smartphone sports a 6.18-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2246pixels) resolution, 18.7:9 aspect ratio and 113 percent sRGBcolorr gamut. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 along with Adreno 509 GPU and 6GB RAM. The 64GB/ 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card slot (up to 128GB).
In the power department, the handset is backed by a 3,500mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
Camera
In terms of optics, the Lenovo S5 Pro sports a dual camera setup (vertically-aligned) on the back. It combines a 20-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor ( f/2.6 aperture). Camera features include 2x loss-less, optical zoom and supports artificial intelligence (AI) powered portrait shots.
The front camera setup also sports a 20-megapixel primary sensor (f/2.2 aperture) and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. Camera features include AI portraits, beauty, and 3D ambient lighting. It also supports an infrared-powered face unlock feature.

The Lenovo S5 Pro runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with ZUI 5.0 on top. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The dual-SIM smartphone measures 154.5 x 75.45 x 7.7mm and weighs 160 grams. Sensors on the device include an ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gravity sensor, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back.

The new smartphone is the successor of the Lenovo S5 (launched in March this year). It only sports one front camera. At its price point, the Lenovo S5 Pro will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Mi 6X, Mi 8 Lite, and Honor 8X.
