Lenovo has launched its Lenovo Phab 2 smartphone in India. As the name suggests, it is a toned down variant of the Phab 2 Plus that was launched last month, in November 2016. Under the hood, the phablet packs a quad-core MediaTek MT8735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, it features a 6.4-inch HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution.
The smartphone houses 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory with expandable storage support up to 128GB via microSD card. On the camera front, the Phab 2 sports a 13 mega pixel primary camera on the back with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. There is also a 5 mega pixel front facing camera for capturing selfies and making video calls. The smartphone is capable of capturing images with Augmented Reality effects.
Backed up by a 4050mAh battery, the company claims it to offer up to 32 hours of talk time and up to 14 days of standby time. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The phablet measures 175×88.5×9.6 mm and weighs 225 grams

The Lenovo Phab 2 carries a price tag of Rs. 11,999 and will go on sale exclusively via e-commerce Flipkart starting December 9, 2016.
To recall, the Phab 2 Plus was launched in India last month for Rs. 14,999. It comes with a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT8783 processor, 6.4-inch Full HD display, dual 13 mega pixel cameras with dual LED flash and 8 mega pixel front camera. The Phab 2 Plus also features a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security.
